Overview

When a normal float is not enough

A spring-supported displacer measures buoyancy rather than relying on a free-moving float. That makes it useful when the liquid is moving, foaming or viscous.

When the liquid rises the displacer loses weight, causing the spring to retract slightly to a new equilibrium position. This retraction interchanges the position of the magnet provided at the top and actuates the switch. Up to three independent switch junctions are available in a single unit, with a broad choice of operating sequences.

Economical for large vessels, and easily transported.

Buoyancy principle

A displacer suspended by a spring, so agitation and foam do not upset the reading as they would a float.

Difficult media

Best for agitated liquids such as paints and varnishes, heavy oil and foaming liquids.

Up to three displacers

Single or multiple displacers, to a maximum of three, with a broad choice of operating sequences in one unit.

Adjustable on site

The switch position can be adjusted at site depending upon the requirement, anywhere along the rope.

The instrument can be used for level switching in large tanks up to 15 m, in turbulent liquids and even without steel pipes. The displacer is adjustable at any point.
