Overview

Control the boundary between two liquids

The controller detects the difference in buoyancy between two liquids. It is built to hold the boundary between the two layers rather than simply detect liquid versus vapour.

Like most level instruments it works on the buoyancy principle. A booster relay placed to control the speed and response time helps to remove the heavier liquid at a fast speed. The relay is enclosed in a pressure-tight housing that allows remote release of vented gases and protects the pilot and pressure gauges from field disturbances and during cleaning.

The displacer is specially designed to sense a specific gravity difference of even 0.05.

Fine S.G. discrimination

Specially designed displacer senses a specific gravity difference of even 0.05.

Booster relay

Controls speed and response time, helping to remove the heavier liquid quickly.

Self-clearing orifice

A cleaning device is provided to clear a clogged orifice without dismantling the instrument.

Direct or reverse

Operates pneumatically in direct as well as reverse direction; reverse is obtained by rotating the nozzle assembly through 180°.
