Reflex Level Gauge
Prismatic single glassPrismatic grooves on the process side make liquid read black and vapour read silvery-white, giving a sharp line at a distance. The default choice for clean liquid and vapour service.

Prismatic glass makes the liquid and vapour zones look different, giving operators a strong visual level line. It is a straightforward local gauge for pressurised vessels.

Prismatic glass makes the liquid and vapour zones look different, giving operators a strong visual level line. It is a straightforward local gauge for pressurised vessels.
Light striking the glass covered by liquid is refracted into the liquid making this portion appear black, whereas light covering the vapour space is reflected back towards the viewers, making it appear silvery-white. Thus, a sharp clear line marks the liquid, eliminating all possibilities of errors in reading.
Trouble-free operation, except for occasional cleaning.
Designed for liquid level indication in vessels under high pressure and temperature conditions, to 65 kg/cm² and 400 °C.
PP, CS, MS, SS 304, SS 316 and SS 316L chambers and isolation valves, machined from 40 mm square bar.
Tempered borosilicate glass, indigenous or Klingerite, resistant to chemicals and to thermal and mechanical shock.
Large chamber construction for boiling, foaming, flashing or surging liquids; weld-pad construction where piping is not acceptable.

Isolating valves, safety ball check, scale, illuminator, frost-free and heating or cooling arrangements are optional. Transparent gauges, which use double flat glass mounted opposite each other on a chamber for interface, dirty or viscous service, share this specification. Ask us if that is the duty you need.
Both gauges share the chamber, the glass specification and the connection options. What changes is how you read the level, and that follows from the service.

Double flat glass mounted opposite each other on the chamber, held by studs through cover plates. Used for interface service, or when the process is dirty or viscous. Internal mica or plastic shields protect the glass from caustic, hydrofluoric acid and steam drums above 250 psig.

Share the medium, pressure, temperature, centre distance and flange details. We will recommend the suitable glass, chamber and connection.
