Glandless magnetic transmission
Dual permanent Alnico magnets transmit motion through the wall, so there is no leakage path from vessel to switch housing.
A magnetic float sits beside the vessel and changes the switch state as the level crosses its set point. It is useful when top access is limited or a long probe is not practical.

A magnetic float sits beside the vessel and changes the switch state as the level crosses its set point. It is useful when top access is limited or a long probe is not practical.
It employs dual magnets, one linked with the float arm and other by the contact carriers housed in the switch enclosure. Change in the liquid level brings the like poles of dual magnets opposite to each other and the resulting repulsion force ensures a changeover of contacts with snap action.
The magnetic transmission is glandless, so there is no scope of leakage from the vessel into the switch housing.

Mount inside the tank, or externally through a chamber or cage where stirrers operate or servicing needs isolation.
SS 304, SS 316, SS 316L, PP and PTFE floats and wetted parts, to suit a broad range of media.
Designed for high repeatability and to minimise the effects of shock, vibration and pressure.

| Process connection | 40, 50, 65 or 80 mm flanged as per ASA 150# |
| Switch | Micro (max. temp. 150 °C) |
| Switching capacity | 6 Amp, 230 V AC |
| Repeatability | +/- 2 mm |
| Load / insulation | Resistive / 150 mega ohms at 500 V DC |
| Max. pressure | Up to 20 kg/cm² at ambient temp. Special design available for higher pressures |
| Max. temperature | Up to 350 °C depending upon float material and switch elements |
| Mounting | Internal and external mounting through a chamber / cage |
External mounting is preferred where space is a limiting factor or mechanical devices like stirrers operate in the tank. In applications like boilers and reaction kettles, external mounting ensures isolation for servicing. The switch can be wired directly to make or break electrical circuits of burners, heaters, motor-pumps and alarms.
Share the tank connection, medium, level set point, pressure and temperature. We will confirm the float and switch arrangement.
